A well nigh meaningless term IMO. Cole was genuine United quality for a lengthy spell, that will certainly do.

Good enough for Manchester United?

Yes

You dont need 11 'world class' players to win titles

Bit more to it than that

It doesn’t matter how many one player scores it’s about how many the team scores and how the attack functions as a unit

Lukaku is a hard player to play combination football around the box with
Finds it hard when space is tight and you need those quick little one twos to open something up

16 league goals, and he’s started nearly every game?

It’s a decent return, no more than that. In a season where you’ve got lads at the other top clubs nearing 30 league goals it isn’t really good enough if we’re honest, particularly as he’s basically the focus of our attack

Fair play.
Nobody 'hates' anybody ffs (except Fellaini)
..it's just that Lukaku doesn't have the composure, quality, temperament or ability to lead the line if we want to get back to winning the big trophies.
Good to know.

That's why we didn't win more CLs when we dominated the league.

Did Porto 2004?
Liverpool 2005? Dortmund 1997? have a team 1-11 of 'world class'?

In a post where I said no need to polarise

He's not bang average. He's also not among the top strikers. How is this controversial?

Nutshell.

Guy has fewer goals than Sterling.

Porto had Benni McCarthy leading the line for most part....

World class?

The "point" here is that you are missing the point.

20 should be the bare minimum.

He's improved though.

TBF the other clubs do create more chances than we do. He hasn’t done as well as I thought he would but that’s not all down to him.

He's had poor service. Just think how many more he might have scored with a decent winger putting crosses into the box. You can see why Mou was desperate to sign Perisic. If only Woody had gone the extra £5m.

Tbf Inter have been pretty dreadful, with the odd exception, going forward over the last few months with Perisic.

He's decent at beating up the small teams but is fairly inconsistent himself.

Kane's assists are coming from Eriksen and Alli rather than pure wide players. Pogba, Sanchez, Mata etc provide similar quality.

ROughly one goal every two games is not a bad return, especially as he is also getting more involved in build up. In fact, it’s a decent first season showing.

Similar stats to Andy Cole. Suppose he was never a United player either

A nothing game maybe but came on and scored. Not as if Bournemouth weren’t trying. Credit where it is due. West Brom also a nothing game. He played shit and rightly got criticised.

By the way, not trying to compare the two but guess which United legend never for more than 16 goals in the league for his first five seasons with the club?
