Not sure why Fergie’s on there either, it was hardly a great season by our standards. We only won one trophy.
You could say the same about Guardiola, but i agree with the comment on Fergie.

Surely McClaren deserved a spot on there, worked wonders in Holland imo.

Mourinho, del Bosque or Tabarez for me.

Would probably give it to Tabarez in all honesty. Phenomenal achievement getting Uruguay to finish 4th at WC2010. He managed to find a great balance with relatively average players and allowed the few stars they had to shine.

Will be shocked if it goes to anyone but del Bosque, though in all honesty a lot of managers could have won it with that squad.

Agree re McClaren. Did a great job at Twente.

Indeed.

They wont give it to him, but Löw should be in with a shout. I know Klinsmann did a lot to change the nations approach to how the game is played but Löw was beside him on that journey. To then take a young German side through a tournament & make them most neutrals choice is no mean feat. Shame they lost Mueller for the Spain game, would have been an interesting outcome had they been at full strength.

Tough choice this year, compared to the previous three.
Xavi would be a great choice, to recognise play making talent as opposed to just goals for once would be a welcome change.

strikes me as odd than Rooneys not there. World Cup must have knocked him right out of the park.

Miroslav Klose 25 league games for his club. 3 goals

Wayne Rooney 32 league games for his club. 26 goals

Something is up there

I always struggle getting my head around whether they are giving the award for the season, or the calendar year - or just performances in major tournaments.

Rooney clearly did infinitely more in the season than plenty on there, but his 2010 has been 3 months good, the rest dogshit.

FIFA Puskás Award 2010

The time has come for you, the users of FIFA.com, to cast your vote and select the winner of the 2010 FIFA Puskás Award. The FIFA Football Committee has selected ten superb goals for you to choose from, all of which are now available for you to watch on the site.
The final list has been drawn up using the following criteria: aesthetics; the importance of the match; the absence of luck or an opposition mistake as a factor making the goal possible; fair play; and the date, with only goals scored between 1 January and 15 October 2010 counting.
You will find every conceivable type of goal in our top ten, from solo efforts and long-range strikes to audacious lobs, unstoppable volleys and gravity-defying scissor-kicks.

The scorers of the goals in question are Hamit Altintop, Arjen Robben, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Kumi Yokoyama, Linus Hallenius, Samir Nasri, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Matthew Burrows. All you have you to do is watch each of their sublime efforts and select your favourite by clicking on the “Vote” button.
Please note that you can only vote once.
The winner will be announced at the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala on 10 January 2011, where he or she will receive the FIFA Puskás Award trophy, with their name engraved upon it.
