What a game that was. And what a £#%&!ing goal.

We were utterly £#%&!ed by that point of the season.

Yep. Milan had been out of the title race for weeks so Ancelotti was able to rest players for the Champions League knockouts. We were running on empty, while most of theirs had the previous weekend off. Classic example of why cup managers get too much credit.

Ronnie should have got the Ballon D'Or that season as well.

Kaka was declared the best player in the world suddenly almost purely because of those games against United.

Gabriel £#%&!ing Heinze

2 or 3 more players fit/in the squad that season and we'd have done the treble. We were £#%&!ing awesome, seriously tough to compete on all fronts with 17 players though

Should have started with Alan Smith in Milan instead of the god awful Fletcher.

Leighton Baines ffs. Won’t start naming & shaming, but the likes of JC actually thought replacing Pat with that Everton rat was a good idea :shakehead:

they completely battered us ffs, and we were lucky to win the 1st leg as well.

you say we were spent, but between the 2 legs we wrapped up the league at everton, and after the 2nd leg we won the derby to make sure, so i think not...

We had a knackered squad of 14 players, barely any central midfielders, only 2 real strikers. Yet fought for the treble.

Milan had a superb squad that had given up on the league from about February and could everything into the champions league.

Maldini, Nesta, Seedorf, Pirlo, Gattuso, Kaka etc fully rested. Too right they dominated.
