Rooney in midfield?

What fresh lunacy is this?

The Van Gaal-acticos.

£#%&! knows where they're all going to play though.

DDG

Evans Jones Rojo

Rafael Herrera Blind Shaw

Di Maria

Falcao Rooney

But then a fully fit Van Persie surely has to play, as does an in form Mata.

Neither of which we have.... there'll be rotation, but neither of those 2 would be in my first choice 11. Seems ridiculous

I still don't think he'll drop rooney. If anyone is to drop out, it's mata.

I think he'll go back to 443 aswell.

something like

------ddg-----------

av----rojo---pj----shaw

--------blind-------------

---adm-----------ah----

----------rooney--------

------falcao-----rvp---

carrick, mata, januzaj, Rafael used as main back up and ooccasionally rotated.

I am not for one second complaining about falcao, but he really doesn't tick many boxes of what we've been missing ..... His game isn't based on pace - we miss players that can run in behind.......lvg likes flexible players. ....He isn't really tjat.

However, a bit like rvp two years, if he's available just get him and worry about where he'll play later.

rvp and rooney don't work well together and look stale. We needed freshening up up front. so in that sense he is very much needed.

great to think we could have half a team of exciting new players against QPR

4-2-3-1 with 2 players for each position, eg.

De Gea/Lindergaard

Rafael/Smalling
Jones/Evans
Rojo/Blackett
Blind/Shaw

Carrick/Fellani
Hererra/Fletcher

Di maria/Valencia
Rooney/Mata
Januzaj/Young

Falcao/Van Persie

Anderson and Cleverley and £#%&! off and rot in the reserves.

We've never seen an in form Mata. Based on our desperate need for pace and drive from the middle, we're unlikely to either, sadly. As classy as he is, he's a white elephant in this line-up.

I have a feeling he doesn't like Januzaj. I can't see him being first choice.

I wouldn't try and guess LVG team as he's notorious for tinkering.

Can't see januzaj being first choice.

He hasn't even started for us yet.

His time will come, but I think he'll play about as much as last season.

The trouble is we've barely seen half these players while the all too familiar shit@#%&!s have still been getting games.

It's horrendous.
