Football Journalists Predict England Team for 2018

The hype has started already. State of some of these £#%&!wits; Wilshere selected by all five of them.

I think John Stones may well go on to become a decent player, but to suggest he will be starting for England in four years time based on a handful of games is mental, yet they've all picked him.

Not one of them picks Welbeck, and only 'Alice Band' Kay picks Jones. All of them picking a 4-3-3 with Sterling leading the line, too. Look forward to bumping this thread in four years time and highlighting their £#%&!wittery.

Sturridge

Only 2 of them have Barkley

I'm surprised they haven't thought of an alternative LB the £#%&!ing £#%&!wits.

Who is Chambers btw? or Onomah for that matter?

Take it back about Barkley, just that some of them are playing him upfront

the main criteria being that a) they're English and b) they'll probably still be playing in 2018.

Football journalists

Why anyone pays the slightest attention to anything they say is beyond me. They're £#%&!ing clueless.

2 have picked smalling

rodwell

thought he was dead

pointless picking a team for 4 years away, so much can happen. the team for the euros should be easier to pick.

At least England fans shouldn't have to worry too much about going to Russia

Where is Rooney? conveniently leave out England's best player? He'll only be 32 ffs, whereas you took Gerrard at 35.

No mention of Welbeck either.
