I'd hardly class Denilson, Diaby, Song and Eboue as top class midfielders either.

They are very capable of playing very good football and have passed their way around us on several occasions in the past. Plus, they are getting better all the time. (Eboue aside, obviously )

Our midfield is suffering in form, confidence and age.

Interestingly, I have selected the correct midfield, so I guess we shall see.

Shocked he hasn't picked Berbs.

They're not top class midfielders, whatever spin you want to put on it.

How is acknowledging that another team have good players in an area we aren't at our strongest doom?

I'm a big fan of Denilson and Diaby. Less so Song.

If Carrick turns up we'll be fine. It's a fair if though.

Edit: I would also say that in Fabregas, Nasri and Rosicky, they are probably missing 3 better midfield players than we have at all.
