Talking Hull City and Manchester United 'locked in talks' over Campbell

http://www.rivals.net/news/pgarticle..._3643638&id=40

Sir Alex Ferguson and Phil Brown are reportedly 'locked in talks' over striking prodigy Fraizer Campbell, with the two clubs in frank discussions about the Yorkshire born sensation making a permanent switch to Hull City...

Speculation surrounding Fraizer Campbell's playing future has come to the fore yet again, with reports in the national media suggesting Manchester United and Hull City have been spending the day attempting to thrash out a deal for the promising young forward.

Campbell - who shot to prominence with the Tigers in the Championship this season - made an immediate impact on Hull City's fortunes and his 15 league goals helped catapult the East Yorkshire side into the top flight for the first time in 104 years of trying.

It is alleged the Manchester United manager has slapped a price tag on the hitman that could rise to £5m with bonuses in a bold attempt to scare off Hull City's advances. Yet, it appears that attempt has been futile with the two Premier League sides working towards an amicable package and the Tigers prepared to pay the asking price.

One of the ideas thought to be mooted; is a season long loan package with an option to make down payments towards a permanent move, but nothing formally - either sale or loan - has been agreed at this stage, with the clubs continuing to negotiate the right package.

Some will cry and be very upset when they read this.

Never been sure he's good enough tbh. Got a lot of pace but you need more than that these days.

I'd venture the opinion that until the lad has had half a dozen games in a red shirt you will never know and to try and predict would be folly.

Campbell out, Ramsey in. Net loss/profit= nil. Talent gained/lost = nil. Brilliant.

We're obviously preparing to swoop for a player or planning a raid. Eitherway Fergie has been given a warchest with which he's going to fire someone a broadside if they're unlucky.
