As far as strikers go we have Rooney, and that is it. Tevez is a joke of a player, and Saha is just a malingering @#%&!.

How have we got ourselves into a position where we have a surfeit of central midfielders, but absolutely no options up front ???
For £#%&! sake.

correct....Tevez worst game since West Ham, but our formation was lopsided Anderson or Hargreaves should have started

but the game should have been over long before the @#%&!s equalised

yeah he needs a rest but we were playing 4-2-4 at times in the second half and hed or Hargreaves would have been better option that Tevez who was poor and Giggs who was

we were £#%&!ed the minute the team sheet went in with o shea at centre half.

Tevez was poor, I thought. I don't think it can be doing his confidence much good that he seemingly only starts the lesser games these days, btw.

Giggs started well but faded again. Further weight to the argument that he should be an impact player off the bench at this moment.

I'm sure Fergie/Querioz has explained to him that it's for tactical reasons.

Tevez is a good player but obviously isn't going to do it every game. I think we will see him at his best next year when hes had a full summers rest.

I agree with that. It's just previously he'd start against the top sides. He now seems to have become the 12th man for the big games.

if he took giggs off he wouldn't have put ronnie in the middle. he took tevez off move ronnie there and still kept some width. giggs wasn't good today but heb is still capable

How I wish Saha wasn't such a @#%&!, he's a quality player but has the mental stability of Myra Hindley.

We need a striker option, Tevez is gash and what else do we have ???

United were like Brazil in the first half. Should've been 2-0 but then the gods conspired against us with the weather, ref, and the 11

Most of the team were poor today;

VDS - looked dodgy, flapping at crosses, losing his footing
Brown - average at best
O'shea - poor, nowhere to be seen on their first goal
Rio - uncomfortable with balls over the top, not enjoying boro's physical play
Evra - average game for him
scholes - cannot play in a four man midfield as proved again today
Carrick - other than the setup for the goal, did nothing
Giggs - was he on the field?
ronaldo - simple finish for the goal but contributed very little overall
tevez - worked hard as always but simply no real goal threat
rooney - best of a bad bunch - average by his own standards

subs

Park - did quite well and actually played on the wing with a bit of discipline for a change
Hargreaves - did ok but seemed to be confused as to where he was playing
Pique - looked more comfortable in the middle than O'shea, better distrubution

The good news is we got a point from a game that we could just as easily lost.

bilge.

don't allow your standards to slip back to the depths they reached just a few short weeks (or less) ago.

you owe it to yourself.

it was a decent game, the key moment of which was M'boro' realising they were about to get slaughtered and so changing their tactics.

well played boro, and a decent show of defiance in the end from United

I just get a bit fed up with people picking on certain players, its a team game and sometimes the team as a whole just under performs - that was the case today, a typical euro hangover.

No it's not, scholes plays well when we have an extra man in the middle to help him, these days when its just him and one other player in the middle he struggles, you could really see the difference today with a 4 man midfield compared to the roma game with a 5 man midfield. You end up with rooney and tevez having to drop deep to help out.
