I think this is the first time ever that i actually dont have much of an opinion on this purchase. I've simply not seen enough of the lad and the games i have seen him play in have been inconclusive - very good one game, invisible the next.
Still the lad does seem to have a good head on his shoulders and definitely has the boring personality of most Canadians so he'll probably turn out good. He'll work hard in training, wont be caught out in fights outside nightclubs and will more than likely do the business on the pitch because it seem all the scouts at united are absolutely convinced that he is perfect for the current team. I'll take their word for it, keep an open mind and give him a full season to prove himself before passing judgment. |

Probably be a similar deal to the Carrick one, plenty of bonus clauses worked in to the final price.
It is a lot of money, but he is a player we need, covers right back as well, and he is desperate to play for us. Good age, with Carrick and He we will have a solid midfield base for years. Surprises me that so many are still negative about his potential signing, it is a lot of money, and if we sign no other players it would be a problem, but he is a good player in his prime. |
