Think it may be a case of 'next big thingitis' and a young player who looked like he was going to be the next Kaka at 16 simply stopped developing at the required rate. It happens all the time and if he was of the class required surely someone would have taken advantage of us being broke and not able to sign him and snapped him up already. It looks like Tosic was bought because he looks good at International level and would have helped the talented youngster settle but it turned out the youngster wasn't as talented as first thought and we are now stuck with his fellow countryman.

We'll find out in the next few years whether or not this is the case based on where he is and how good he is.
