Really the last decent time england played like they should was under el tel. hoddle was better than most too

Last decent England game I remember was that friendly v Argentina about 10 year ago. A total anomaly in a sea of utter tedium. I don't even know why I watch them, i don't care if they win and frequently find myself actively wanting them to lose.

This tournament, probably more than any other, I've tried to be a bit more enthusiastic about them at least, but I just can't do it. That Sturridge goal just left me totally cold, whilst everyone around me went mad.

Think England have played fairly well tonight, controlled the game, looked to attack, committed numbers forward.
