across several dimensions - wages, transfer fees, media profiles, sponsorship deals etc - our largely average players are repeatedly being told that they are world class.

when they are at the club, it's easier to blame someone else for not getting the most out of them.

how many of them who have left have gone on to prove they were world class talents? de gea was paid as though he was the best GK in the world, now he can't even get a club. pogba, Lukaku, Sanchez, etc etc

Pick them out and tell me which ones are polluting the squad and trying to get ETH sacked.

Would have been easier to list those players

martial
Rashford
Lindelof
Shaw
Wan bissaka
Dalot
heaton

So those are the toxic bunch?

Are not embarrassed?

Who said they’re all toxic?

I was pointed out that many of “the ole lot” were actually still here and over handful played under Mourinho.

What is embarrassing is you polluting everything single thread on here with negative repetitive shit.

the truth hurts.

because most you like settling in delusion

thought we were gonna be in the top2/3 this season and laughing at liverpool midfield signings….

I stand out because i say things as they are.

Wether players are from other Regimes they are mostly professional.

The blame here has to lie with the manager and his signings

Answer me this…

Is our squad being let down by the players from old regimes
Are Antony , casimero and mount being met down By underperforming team mates
A new manager would be getting rid of those three players first which says it all.

Antony is turning out to be a dud. Shame no other manager in the history of the game has signed the wrong player before.

Casemiro, while good at times, was simply not his signing.

A player he managed for the last two seasons and his previous club?

Yeah happens all the time….

Hang on, when did Casemiro join the “not the managers signing” club?

Are you being purposefully obtuse? He hasn't worked in the PL. And yes, it does happen all the time.

once his form started to tail off he had his documents stamped. Not permanent yet so an uptick in performances could see him moved back out.

Spend all summer basing your transfer policy around a single player. Then get spanked in the first few games of the season and go for the complete opposite. Yep, reeks of a ETH sanction.

I think maybe they were going for he was third choice behind de jong and Rabiot who they went after first ?

He is a good player Casemiro but will be tailing off. Close to deadline day, desperately need a CM, the recruitment says we can pick up Casemiro. You won’t be turning him down .

Lack of planning ahead leads to signing players the manager probably has to accept .

You can tell at the poor planning because of how late most signings were. I wouldn’t even put it past it if Casemiro was a knee jerk reaction signing from the board and only sanctioned it because we lost our first two games . (Despite everybody knowing we needed a CM going into the season)

It’s entirely possible he wasn’t first choice but no manager in the game gets every first choice.

No way he didn’t sign off on him.

Didn’t Casemiro basically force us to sign him? Apparently we weren’t interested at all but he text his agent saying “I’ll fix this” and then turned up at Carrington the next day.

No manager is going to be able to impose his will and discipline on players that the club had to grovel and beg to sign.

The players are pretty much bullet proof and know it.

The only thing that will change the situation is new owners with pockets deep enough to give the manager the option of binning any player that isn’t pulling their weight with the right attitude.

Of course, in that scenario players are suddenly motivated and keen because they know they are dispensable.
