On the contrary, you enjoy it more without the hope. Just watch some good football. Accept your fate. Twirl your shirt around your head and conga down the terraces like an already regulated side 3-0 down.

However, if Chelsea could just nick one here. ...
I do enjoy it, because of the uncertainty. I like that.

No chance for Chelsea now surely. City so experienced; average age of their side today must be 30 or so.

Seriously, where is that @#%&! Hazard these days?

There is usually a process that involves the midfield, but aside from that van Gaal has had quite a bit of say about who plays up front mate. If they are not good enough he can't just shrug.

Maybe that's what he's writing down.

I want to see Falcao brought on. Been a while since I've seen him lose his footing every five minutes.

Is there a more overrated keeper out there than Courtious?

I just don't see it. Should have stuck with Cech.

In fairness mate he was horrendous after his fallout with Abramovich over Cech. However, I don't think he was ever happy having to go back there to begin with rather than take over from Fergie, and he is intelligent enough to learn from his mistakes. Think we would see a different man tbh.

I hope.

I actually think there's nobody left from the squad he inherited that people really want to keep other than De Gea and maybe Smalling.

Would usually draw at least some sympathy.

It's been a disgraceful effort from Chelsea today tbph. Those players out there couldn't look less arsed if they tried.

Been saying it for ages. Not in De Gea's league.

You see kids. Everything bad that happens at chelsea is mourinho's fault even though he's not been there for about 6 months. Everything bad that happens at United is not Van Gaal's fault even though he's actually still manager.

These are the people you're dealing with. Mentalists in cardigans.

He was imperious for Atletico and last season. Shocking season but his quality is very high. In hindsight with the possibility he will leave this summer then yeah in Cech they had a top class keeper who would have retired there but Courtois is 10 years younger with scope to improve.

I think one key quality Cech has over him is that he is leader on and off the pitch whereas Courtois along with Hazard have self-interests and big egos which in bad times make them bad eggs.

Mourinho made some horrible mistakes mate; there is no point trying to deny it. However, it's not the whole story as much as the anti JM crew would have you believe. Sometimes good managers £#%&! up.
