In terms of determination, effort and last ditch blocks, toe ends and tackles they have defended brilliantly. There really isn't much else a team with the players Stoke have can possibly do against United, tbh.

Thanks to Nani's sideshow. Doing his usual £#%&!ing about with the ball out wide instead of putting a ball into the middle. Only time he shows any urgency is when there is a shot on for him.

it has been all scholes and to a certain extent rooney this match. it is crying out for giggs. get nani or valencia off the £#%&!ing pitch and get giggsy on. maybe anderson for carrick also. fletcher seems do be doing nothing against stoke who seem to have all 11 men within 30 yards of their goal

Rooney too, he's dropping very, very deep at times just to find space, whilst Berbatov is staying further up. We've got control in the middle but the quality from wide has been poor so far. Finally got Berbatov in space and he was i=unlucky one of Stoke's 10 defenders blocked it.

Been the only one of our front 6 to really play up to his potential, been the odd flash from Nani, but Rooney has shown real frustration with him, whilst Berbatov and Valencia have been very quiet.

Anderson and Giggs both likely to come on at some point.

And the point about Scholes is more about teams physical powerful teams who are also good on the ball. Against this dross he could stand in the centre circle and control the game until he is 50. Perfect match up for him, having to do very little defensive running, armchair ride.

Dont know what you expected but the only way we're going to score here is from dominating and hoping they tire, which they don't really because their fitness levels are excellent. Chelsea got a lucky break to snatch a win, its going to be just as hard for us.

honestly, tell if that was posted by someone else you would have agreed. I was one of those who was happy that valencia was signed. but the lad needs to do something more than just trying to cross every £#%&!ing time. we have 2 wingers who are complete opposite of one another.

It's not the cutting edge in the middle that's needed they're in the 18 yard box waiting for the cross, it's composure out wide. Valencia's miss was awful and Nani, bar that shot, has contrived to miss simple passes and get an early ball into the box. It's a frustrating shift from him and I'm reluctant to say it's worse than that for Valencia but atm he looks scared to death in a Utd shirt.
