thought someone would have said Viera before now.

Gazza, a great shame for both parties.
Zidane, can't put into words how much i would have loved to see this.
Fat Ronaldo, couldn't agree more.
Van Basten, all day!
Baresi, Robbo and Baresi can you imagine?
Guardiola, class!

todays players.

Torres, Essien, Xavi, Gattuso,

Bergkamp, never ever ever ever ever ever!

zanetti is a great shout, nedved and del piero too. i'd throw romario in there - the arrogance and individuality shout UNITED for me. at his peak, rivaldo as well would be perfect.

One player who I could always visualise at United was Alex Del Piero. He has the technique, class and ability to the unexpected that United fans love, but also the spirit, loyalty and professionalism of a United player. Would have been a legend I think, without doubt.

Batistuta is another. The ability to score spectacular goals of every variety in the blink of an eye, the strength and explosiveness, the fight, the personality, the hair... A United player in every respect.

this is important

Collymore and Del Piero are excellent shouts. Gascoigne a more obvious one but similarly good.

Collymore would have been unstoppable at United.

Marco van Basten, Redondo, Hagi, Stoichkov, Batistuta, 1996 era Del Piero before his old man died & he got a bit depressed, Buffon, Gazza... from relatively modern times.

But Garrincha, for all time players... piss head, womaniser, exquisite footballer by all accounts & Brazilian.

Think it would have been Bestie-esque had we had him.
