A lot will depend on how players come back after the world cup. Guaranteed we'll end up somehow with a £#%&!ing raft of injuries after our key players go deep into the tournament.

I think we’ll be in and around top four, but it’s a big ask. There’s teams far further along than us that damn well should be finishing above us.

It’s why the 6-3 loss hits worse. It’s not guaranteed, but if you work hard against these £#%&!ers and keep it tight. Take your chances, you can beat them or atleast take a point.

If martial can stay fit/we sign a striker in jan we will make top 4. Scousers, Tottenham , Chelsea , all in a similar boat to us.

Yep.

Every team is like that. The media these days is so extreme. Six months ago Liverpool were the greatest team we’ve ever seen. Then they’re finished. City win a few, unchallenged and suddenly they’re unstoppable again. Teams end up buying into it. If Liverpool turned up, worked hard, played to their strengths, then it’s half the battle. We should have done the same.

Our defence is looking much better but lack of goals is going to be a killer for us.

If we’re serious about pushing on for the top four then I think we need to go big for a striker in January. We need someone to rely on.

We won’t be going to a big striker in January. We’re spent up and anyone worth getting will be a summer buy. As much as we need one, I don’t want us signing some ageing stop gap.

There was always going to be a degree of ‘making do’ in certain areas this season because we needed ten new players. We’ll make do with what we’ve got. Martial not staying fit has £#%&!ed us. Sancho needs to do more. Rashford is just being Rashford. He has his moments, but he’s staggeringly overrated and can’t be relied on to be consistent. Bad misses today and midweek are no surprise and he won’t change.

They’re not going to buy anyone in Jan, there’s no money, they’ve pretty much already confirmed that.

I agree with everything you say. I say we need to buy a striker in January more in hope than expectation.

Champions League football is important to us fans, but we know it isn’t really important to the powers that be,

Club spent a ton in the summer. Even now some fans are deluding themselves into the idea Ronaldo is still going to come good, just needs match fitness at 37 to restore his pace They actually wanted Ronaldo as first striker on the sheet to build around. It is not realistic to add another forward on top of all the other signings while his 52 mil contract is still on the books. January priority should be Ronaldo out then another young head in. Likely too late for the Nkunkers train.

Never underestimate the panic in the parasites when they realise we may not get top4 in the second successive season and sponsor money drops.

They’ll take a loan out against the club and fund it like they always do.

That’s how they got Casemiro and Antony. There’s no space for more spending imo.

If there is, they will be shit, that’s why they’re available

We need Ronaldo to retire and forego the remainder of his contract. We’ll probably trigger the extension

At least we didn’t spend the budget on Nunez

Just watching Golazo and highlights of Juve v Torino, in goal for Torino was that 6’7 keeper we signed when he was a kid and he just never turned up Milinkovic-Savic. He’s £#%&!ing massive looks decent tbh.
