One of my absolute favourite players. Almost guaranteed you a goal or two when he was in his prime. You never thought he wouldn't score.

Ruud.

"Ruud v Nistelrooy scored 150 goals for Utd, but won 1 title in 5 years, Either side of his arrival they won it three seasons on the trot".

More Freggie mis-management, deciding to flog the poor @#%&! as a lone striker because he was so good rather than replacing Keano on his last legs.

Sounds familiar tbf.

'I would like to thank Malaga, my team-mates, the coaches, the physios, Antonio Fernandez, Fernando Hierro and the fans for this unforgettable year'

'I would also like to thank the fans of Den Bosch, Heerenveen, PSV, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Hamburg.'

Love Ruud
Absolute goal machine.

He was unlucky to be at United during the spell that he was. He caught the last throws of the Treble winning boys & saw the dawn of the Rooney/Ronaldo generation, but was never around during a peak United team.
We certainly should have won a Champions League while he was here. He was phenomenal in Europe. We were incredibly unlucky (and naive) in 2002 and 2003 & even though we weren't a great side we were robbed in 2004 against Porto.

Top Red.

Great player.

Won us the league in 2003.

Remember at Goodison the look on his face as he was trying to get at the United fans to celebrate. Top, top red.

One of the only consolations of what happened yesterday was seeing Owen dressed in full kit and knowing he would be nowhere near that £#%&!ing trophy. In full £#%&!ing kit ffs he's got less reason than that £#%&!ing scouser on the other thread to wear a full £#%&!ing kit the little @#%&!.

German journalist - "Was it hard to leave Real Madrid, arguably the biggest club in the world?"
van Nistelrooy - "It was harder to leave Manchester United. That was my club."
