Wonder what the limit on IQ is for journalists now. 90? half that for tabloids, half again for sport journalists. i'd prefer modric to nasri if there were a choice but either would be excellent additions. buying nasri would also put down a (further) marker as to who is the top dog in england, whose importance shouldn't be underestimated when it comes to competing for players in the future.

Maybe! if you're willing to look stupid as this clown or pathetic as oliver holt was this week, maybe it's a good gig. There's no work to it, anyone who reads through some of the stories on the internet can just rehash it again in as simple as format as they can and their job is done. Easy gig if you don't mind what people think about you.

It feels a bit odd with Nanners - he was superb for most of last season, then gets dropped when Vallers is fit (even though his form was still good.) And now he's seemingly out the door.

There's usually news of a row with Ferie when this kind of thing happens but it just seems like Ferie just doesn't fancy him as a player anymore.Be a shame too, because he obviously loves United.Still, Big Tones a quality player and Young is class but what happens (like last season) if one of them gets a serious knock? Obertan?

Anyway, has Nasri 'just looking to get a better deal at Arse' signed yet?

May I ask why you've chosen to believe the few 'nani is off' rumours but not the more frequent 'nasri is coming' rumours?

He may a lesbian but the reported £8m for Nasri is ridiculous.

I think that Nani still has a place even if we sign young and nasri. Nani can play more than the out and out winger role. He's not ronaldo, but he's more than just a winger.

Phil Jones' move to Manchester United from Blackburn Rovers has been put on hold by a dispute about the player's valuation - and ESPNsoccernet can reveal a growing dispute between the two Premier League clubs.

ESPNsoccernet has learned that Blackburn value Jones far in excess of the £16 million offered by Manchester United to trigger what the champions believe is a release clause.

A Rovers insider told ESPNsoccernet that the player is "the nearest thing to a Tony Adams or John Terry" and that, in the view of Rovers, and their advisers put him in the £25 million category.

Unusually, the player has already passed his medical and agreed personal terms with United, which normally means the clubs have agreed the fee but ESPNsoccernet has discovered that a clause in Jones' contract only triggers the player's ability to discuss a potential move with a club who offers £16 million rather than fully complete the deal. Rovers' hierachy's stance is that the deal is by no means done and they will hold out for more cash.

So Jones has been able to agree terms with Manchester United and go through the medical - even though the two clubs have failed to reach agreement. With Jones already believed to have turned down other moves to Liverpool and Arsenal, the move still looks likely to end at Old Trafford but the quibble over the fee may stall it for some time.

Can't say tbh. Maybe a mixture of Nani's sudden lack of first team action and then the obvious stance of Wenger not wanting to sell to us.We did the same with Heinze, even though he and Liverpool have both publicly stated they wanted the deal to go ahead.if they do sell, I don't think it'll be to us.

Tbh, I hope we get Young in (and Modders/Nasri) and Nani stays - our squad would be fantastic. Sounds too good to be true though.
