I really don't get the 'he had a good game' on Sunday. A few trademark easy passes to the right that looked good but didn't get the first shot on target and the second chance only came about because he mis controlled it and didn't score from what became a good chance.

So playing as a No 9 he screwed one wide and didn't bury one - hardly 'sensational'.

All his 'faults' were sadly on view. When you see his decline you can understand why Eric bowed out when he did.

According to the stats

He gave the ball away more than any player on the pitch.
Got dispossessed more times than anyone else.
Gave away more fouls than anyone else
And created the least amount of opportunities

I thought he played well - was certainly Everton's best player by some distance. Created Everton's best moves and had their best chances. Was unlucky not to score.

He wasn't sensational though and hasn't been for about 5 years.

He did what he's done the last two years: he toiled.

It was another showing why he's no longer at United.

Also we played better when he went off.

Didn't even realise the pointless shithead was playing until he gave away the penalty.

Rooney played better than any other forward on the pitch tbh, even Lukaku who had a solid game himself. Everton went to pieces once Waz went off.
