De Gea has more overall talent than Lindegaard, but he's miles behind on crosses and control of the box...the two most important qualities of a keeper and the ones of particular importance to United.
The truth.

£#%&!ing idiot, how do you expect de gea to become used to the style of play here if you don't trust him to play

the better keeper should start every game, one keeper not two ffs

De Gea is already the best keeper in the league.

Linders is the best number 2 in the world.

Good problem to have.

not sure what the issue is tbh, there's a lot of spittle dripping down my screen over this on a few threads. it's simples, Linda is way more authoritative in the area which is understandable given his age/experience. DDG is clearly the keeper of the future but it's a great problem to have, to me they're both superb keepers. Neither is making a lot of mistakes, all this talk of knocking DDG confidence down is pure speculation

linders was excellent today, he's playing well and deserves to be in the team.

We wouldn't have beat Galatasary without De Gea.

Still, if Fergire trusts Linders more right now, nothing to do but hope he continues doing a job. His ability is limited, but the good news is that he plays to it most of the time.

the danish roy carrol. I don't know what exactly he offers other than the ability to keep his nerve at corners.

Nothing Lindegaard does should be a surprise. He's never stood out anywhere he's played because, by professional standards, his agility and explosiveness is slightly below average - and for the top flight, he's a long way off. Thus, AS I £#%&!ING PREDICTED, pretty much every game or two he plays, he'll allow a goal our 20 million keeper would have saved. But it won't look like a mistake and at this point, Fergie doesn't know the difference.

Yes, does not make obvious mistakes but does not make exceptional saves. He is a decent keeper, but De Gea could be exceptional.

If you ever watch one of the season reviews from the Schmeichel years it is actually quite surprising how many shocking errors he made. He consistently made match winning saves though.

And Gerrard's (two bouncer two yards from the corner). And the header at Southampton.
