It was an awful display today. The sooner Rooney's back the better.
...let's just hope Newcastle can spring a surprise tomorrow...& that Arsenal can take a share of the points at Stamford Bridge

Tbh, the problem today was that starting £#%&!ing XI. Berb and Pea looked a lot more effective and the side had a balance to it. Before that it was just shit on a stick.

They were spot on about the work rate off the ball too. Sunderland murdered us in that department, we were pathetic. No closing down, half hearted challenges etc etc.

Yeah, I'd agree with all that.
I made a point about a lack of 'desire' straight after the game (a fancy description for workrate I guess) ...a real lack of leadership too.
Berbatov & Nani appear to not get on...Macheda is a half decent impact player at this stage, he isn't good enough to start games.
Far too much chopping & changing all over the pitch.

You stop Scholesy & you stop our creativity.

Vidic played well, but Rio is the absolute dogs %@#$&!s. He's the best centre half in the world. We REALLY need him to stay fit now ....get Carrick back playing well & get Wazza back playing & we might still be able to give Chelsea a run for their money.

Strange as it sounds, i think it might have been better for us to go in 1 or even 2 down at half time. Could have given them the kick up the arse required to up the tempo and come back as we have done so many times in the past.

Instead we rode our luck and the game just fizzled out.

Love how we're 2nd game on MOTD despite the fact it was a pretty shit 0-0 draw

yep. some of what passed for tracking back from anderson was shocking.

pea and rafael, and nani from time to time, seem the only players we have who are willing to run at full tilt with the ball atm. every time they got the ball to feet today it was as if somebody had hit the fast forward button, ten times more intent and willingness to make things happen than the rest of the team.

That starting XI still rankles with me. Not seen owt of it today tbf, but you'd think with the "problems" we've had, particularly away from home, and after a great away result midweek, and an international break to follow, (especially against a very decent side who've performed well against us in recent seasons) SAF would want to carry it on and play his strongest side, get a bit of swagger and confidence back before they get some time off.

Nothing against Macheda, he looks decent and hopefully will end up being a regular for many years, but im not sure he should be starting such a difficult away game. And resting Evra

Anyway, not seen it, O'Shea and Kiko could've been brilliant for all I know.

Not normally prone to doom, and this isn't dom, just disappointment that Fergie didn't appear to realise what was needed today (or had faith in the team that started, which, while admirable, appears misguided).

Oh dear. Gonna watch the highlights in a bit. All I know is that we had 0 attempts and 0 attempts on target in the first half.

Fergie thinks our squad is strong enough to cope with the Premier League and Champions League. I know lots will blame the Glazer's but SAF has gone out of his way many times to say he has money to spend but he has decided he doesn't need to spend it as he's happy with what we've got.

If he really thinks that squad is good enough, he's been on the same drugs as Borsuk.

We'll be doing great once Anderson turns into the new Paul Scholes. Any game now....
