Obsequious attendance to rigid form, structure & precedence without countenance of dialogue or context. Sounds like the kind of approach that landed us with £400 million of ex-Ajax, Utrecht & Vitesse stars hth.

Would be nice to have players in their preferred positions & in form. We'll find our feet & reel them all in.

it's amazing that people have gone from thinking we could challenge for the title to thinking were now destined for mid table. hysterical fannies.

basically every season post fergie we finish +/-5 of 70 points. there's a bit of variance due to luck etc and sometimes it's good enough for top 4 sometimes it isnt. there was one positive outlier when we got 81 points with mourinho and one negative outlier (ole and ragnick, 58)

this was an unpopular view when I posted it in the summer, BUT last season should have been judged on that 70 benchmark not the 58 points outlier. even in that context ETH still did very well, particularly given the Ronaldo/greenwood situations..but he didn't perform a 'miracle'

I fully expect us to be back around 70 points this year and hopefully it's good enough at least for 5th. that would be a good season.

it's absolutely baffling that those who have fully bought in to ETH and think he's a miracle worker now expect us to come 8th with a team which is much more of his making than last year. just because we lost a few games.

we will be fine

City, liverpool, arsenal are 100% all finishing above us. Newcastle and Tottenham and us will be battling for 4th down to 6th. Villa and Bournemouth in there too. Every team mentioned, apart from Tottenham perhaps don’t have anything like the same number of mental midgets that we have.

It’s going to be a long season..

if big serge can get fit, so amrabat can play mf, the seasons turns. 10h has to pick a balanced team and make us hard to beat. varane's comments on united having the quality to win the cl were laughable, but true.

Every team other than City is a gnats #@&%! away from an implosion. We've just gone first, I'd like to think things can only get better & we'll find our form. Others won't have so long to sort their situation out later in the season.
