6th, win nothing, persevere with Arteta.

(I have not voted because my options are not covered)

Can't see Chelsea getting into the top 10 tbh.

I'm aware this is an Arsenal thread tho.

Jesus had a knee op today, out ‘for a few weeks’.

They've got a proper manager now. All he has to do is find his best team from the hundreds of players he has available and they'll be a force.

Or he gets fired in November.

liverpool and chelsea can't be as bad as last year, but I fancy chelsea to improve more, as they have a striker, at least (and they won't miss mount, obvs).

I can see villa finishing above arsenal. I don't think rice is much of an upgrade on xhaka and all timber does is mean they can afford to an injury in defence. villa have improved. hope I am right, because we need to finish above both of them.

Will be 6th or 7th at Christmas and pressure will be on Arteta.

Decent bet for first manager to be sacked

Can see top 4 being:

City, Arsenal, United, Liverpool but no idea on order outside expecting City to retain. They’ve let some big players go though. Mahrez is a big loss irrespective of whether or not he played in their last 2 finals.

I’ll go with 3rd for Arsenal.

Some serious underrating of Arsenal here. They are putting together a formidable and young squad, which is probably a top striker away from being one of the top sides in Europe (granted, the competition isn't stellar).

Expect them to have another strong season and be top 4.

Liverpool are the ones I've no idea what to expect.

I wouldn’t go quite as far as that, but agree with the general sentiment. They’ve spent well over the summer imo, to add to what was already a good squad with age on their side. Bottled it in the league obviously, but they were still very very good for large parts of the season. Other than City, they were the best side we played by a distance last season in my view.

It's relative to the strength of the PL vs Europe tbf.

If you are the second best in England, you are probably within the top 5 across Europe right now. There simply aren't many top sides presently.

Most of them outside of City have some sort of glaring weakness.

Fair enough point, and can’t really argue when you look at it that way. Feel as a team they just lack a bit of experience to go deep in the CL. Talking what, 14/15 years since they even went as far as the quarters, and even looking at the squad there’s not a great deal of CL experience from what I can see.

Experience isn’t everything obviously, and I know there’s been young teams who have gone far in their first crack at it. Guess we’ll see.

from what I've seen today .

arsenal will run city close and maybe even beat them as city squad is way to small. mahrez will be a big loss.

it looks like arsenal are keeping Partey which is bad news as it plays rice is his best position and gives them the perfect balance in midfield.

1st or 2nd for them in my opinion. depends on what Liverpool turn up this season as well as it might be Liverpool and arsenal 1 and 2 with city possibly third.

they haven't got much quality outside their starting 11.

an injury to de Bruyne and they will struggle badly.

If anyone loses their best midfielder, they'll struggle

If Arsenal lose Odegaard, they'll struggle, won't they?

I’d expect City to splurge on a few players before the end of the window tbh.
