Wasn't Andros Townshend rattling in 25 yarders for England 12 months ago?

Emile Heskey has scored in Germany too.

Spurs remind me of Liverpool in the eight-book edition of their 2nd place finish.

Playing with a swagger and confidence and everything is rosey. As soon as things didn't go their way though, they fell to bits and we learned a lot about the likes of Sterling, Henderson and Sturridge.

Part of someone being the real deal is how they react to a bit of adversity.

Kane is a great example. Last season, he did something pretty special, but something we've seen the likes of Kevin Phillips and Marcus Stewart do in the premier league. The acid test was following it up. And he has. Brilliantly. NOW we can talk about him being the real deal.

Nobody is denying the potential, but we'll learn a lot about them in these comings weeks, the summer and early next season

If you look at Alli and think, still unsure...then you know jack-shit about football I'm afraid. Barring injury, he'll be the standout midfielder in the prem for the next decade

a decade is a long time in football. most people had barely if ever heard of alli 2 years ago.

Barely anyone had heard of a 17 year old at MK Dons. Fancy that.

Hard to disagree that most of those players would feature on a regular basis at United. Which highlights how average many of the players at United are, rather than being a ringing endorsement of Spurs.

If you think 'x' you're 'x' is always a good sign of a solid argument.

It's not as simple as 'unsure'. It's not like I look at him and think he isn't talented and without the capacity to be a star. More that we've all seen enough football to know that players can have brilliant seasons, look the absolute shit and then just disappear or at least never recapture that season.

I'm not suggesting this is the case with Ali, but I'd like to see another season or how he does in a spell when his side isn't playing well before declaring him brilliant and suggesting anyone who disagrees knows nothing about football

It's a travesty we didn't sign Alli. for the same price as Pisscan Corsa ffs

He'd get into our side easily.

Don't really rate Walker, but his name being mentioned reflects what an absolute shambles the RB position has become for us

Anyone who could stay fit and defend to a Stoke City standard would nail it down

hence dismissing the possibility of a similar scenario occurring again for the next decade is ridiculous. hth.

Can we change the title to "Five Spurs players who are currently walking through United's team"?
