0-0 at home to Newcastle first game.

Lose to City at home, that night match in November.

Finish 2nd

Newcastle haven't won at OT since 1972. That's the sort of stat that makes me nervous

I am just a little optimistic that Chelsea now being champions will lessen that difference a bit - not unlike 2006

It will make £#%&! all difference if we play shite ourselves though!

Probably about the same as last year.
However, I said this all through last season & the signing of Yossi Benayoun hasn't changed my mind - Chelsea are £#%&!ing ordinary. They have no young players at the Club & don't have a single player (imo) that would get in our first eleven (if everyone was fit) - other than Essien maybe.

If we had the money to bring in 2 quality, proven players - a midfielder & an attacking player (either wide or from midfield) ...I think we'd get our Trophy back reasonably comfortably tbph.

As for Europe, well our Season collapsed when Wayne got injured against Munich. Unless he can stay fit during April & May (something he's only done twice in 5 years - 04/05 & 06/07) we'll struggle. If he stays fit we might get to the SF's/Final again.
But it's a Cup competition so it's hard to predict.

Always good to see fans of our rivals writing us off - you would have thought they'd have learnt by now

One day, surely, they will get it right - if only on the "monkeys with typewriters" principle. Not yet though, dear lord

Default Predictions for the new season to be BTTT as 10/11 goes on

I would rather it was positive as there is enough doom, however free speech and all that.

I think we will do the double over City.
Nani will get 25 goals and assists.
Little pea will settle in quickly
CL semis
Prem 2nd
FA Cup last 16
Carling cup final
Big season from Carrick

We wont win the league, we wont win the EC, we'll have a falling out with one of the more expensive 1st team players and people will tell us we've had a good season.
