"are you just gonna let it ring?"

"well yeah, coz it'll just go to..."

"that's good manners"

he's obviously a complete @#%&! of a man and has no people skills whatsoever, but it's a refreshing change to the bland shite that most press conferences are.

I'd have loved to have had big Duncan Ferguson in front of him.. ...just for a spell. What a spine that would be.. Schmeichel, Vidic, Stam, Keano and Ferguson. Obviously the team would be slower than a tugboat.. but high octane derbies would be "interesting"

For Robson 84 v Barcelona read Keane 99 v Juventus. 2 of the most extrodinary midfield performances you're likely to see.
Nail on the head Ste, this post deserves a thread of its own IMO view.

i love how he says ireland should 'get over it' two days after the game, when he's clearly still bitter and ranting like a mad man 7 years after the 2002 world cup.

Quality player in his day mind

Is this based on him taking Sunderland from the bottom of the Championship into the Premiership and keeping them there?

Keane is a top man, its a shame folk around him can't reach the standards he tries to keep. He will turn it around at Ipswich and get them into the premiership mark my £#%&!ing words and stick it up your bollix

His intensity made him who he was / is, but he comes across like a ticking timebomb.

The Haarland thing indicated he may well be a man to hold a grudge, rightly or wrongly you could see how Haarland thought he may be faking it in the original game (not that Keane was prone to diving or feigning), but it was a nothing challenge.
