OK, I phrased it badly and was truly outdone by Fred's wisest and wittiest.

I'm just surprised that no one seems to have mentioned this. It's quite a strange thing for him to say and if he's serious then we shouldn't be spending very much on him.

Probably %@#$&!s, although he was quoted on it.

Not set in stone, but strange that he's considering it. Is it really worth spending 30 million on a player who might only play for four more years? At 28, he could command a big fee, but we'll obviously get nothing if he hangs up his boots.

Didn't he say that he wants to go back to Argentina & play for Boca rather than hang up his boots?

If he stays to the end of his contract & then goes then that's fine.
