needs to go for everyones benefit now

Not sure how we make up for his goals but the danger of him staying and turning everything he does / says into the Ronaldo show is a distraction we don't need / want.

The feeling on the pre season tour seemed to be positive and the football appeared to be improving with what looked like a more fluid front three - Now we are back it seems to be nothing but conjecture about Ronaldos fututre, him £#%&!ing off early after a game in which its being made out he disagreed with ETH - etc etc

If he stays it will become Ronaldo v's ETH as Im not sure Ronaldo will put up with being rotated or played less than last season

V curious that Real don't want to touch him with a pole despite missing on Mbappe. Did his best work there. They know full well it never pays to look backwards.

Why would they want him?

They have King Karim who is the best player in the world and a shoe-in for Balloon Door.

the way he plays isn't conducive with winning trophies in this era.

its a team game now. attackers need to be mobile and hardworking and goals are shared.

yes he scores goals but you tell me the last time the golden boot winner the the league also won the league title.

city have won the league two seasons in a row with no out and out quality striker so goalscorers like him arent the huge commodity he thinks he is.

players like Ronaldo and suarez are not wanted in this era which is why they are both not wanted by top teams.

Sad that its come to this but the best thing for all concerned is for Ronaldo to be run over by the team bus, cementing his legacy and martyrdom for Utd.

Stay. Partly for sentimental reasons. Partly because he is a big draw for kids and helps to stop too many of them without suitable parenting influence turning blue.

Not even that. He used to be incredibly mobile & hardworking -- as did Suarez. Both, at their peak, would easily be No. 1 & 2 strikers in the world today. Problem is they are now finished just as Maradonna was in the 90s, Romario in 2000s, Henry in the 2010s etc. Father Time catches up with them all and more fool the club institutions who get caught in the cross fire.

Just to bring some facts into the equation, he scored 24 goals last season. 18 in the League and 6 in the Champions League.

Top scorer in the most utterly dogshit Der Gaffer inspired United side in living memory. Think what he could do in a proper team, with a proper manager.

Its obvious what United need to do. Keep him until the window closes, and then he has no distractions, and will be his usual peak professional. The idea that Ronaldo will be a bad influence on the squad during the season is laughable.

That's not how it works though. To take his namesake as an example, Ronaldo Nazario was still a 1-in-2 man through his final 3 seasons with Madrid & Milan when he was plainly finished. In fact still top goal scorer in all of his last 4 full seasons w/ Madrid. What did he have to show for it? Nothing. The only trophy they won was the league in the half season he played a couple of games and got him out.

These players can still score goals because they are all time great strikers who will put a chance away, but they're shadows of their former selves in general play and its to the detriment of the overall team to try and play to their much-reduced strengths. Absolutely no top team wants him. None. In an age of supposed dearth of strikers, no one of any ambition wants to take him on. Tells its own story.

I want him to move on tbh (with the proviso we bring in someone to supplement the attack).

Love the guy to bits but just can’t be arsed with another tiresome “saga”. There’s only so much MUFC inertia I can deal with per summer and I’m pretty much full to the brim.

I'm talking about league. which is different animal.

this is what happens because the majority of you don't watch any football outside united and when you do football translates to having passion and scoring goals in your heads.

p.s. did you actual reference the French and German league.?
those two are not competitions.

Ronaldo cares about one thing and one thing only; Ronaldo...(which means retaining his top spot against Lionel Messi for all times goals in the Champions League)

If he doesn't get his move to Sporting Lisbon (or anyone who will take him at this point) he's going to continue with his miserable toxic behavior and on field antics.

Signing a 38 year old on £515,000 per week who altered the teams chemistry, and then hiring a nobody manager from the hinterlands of Moscow, were the last two steaming logs Ed Woodward left at the doorstep before taking off.
