What a ridiculous football club. They’re even wackier than they were under Abramovich and he’s basically the mafia.

I like Poch. Needs to win more, but he’s clearly a principled coach who was starting to get it right

Weird weird club

I can see Jim & Co going for him if it doesn’t work out with Tenners long term.

there is nothing wrong with Chelsea getting rid of poch!

It’s the way modern football is.

If Ancelotti next season finshes outside the champs league places he will be sacked.

same goes for most top clubs with standards! It’s cut throat.

only one club romanticises having a manager for 5+ years and also the least successful club amongst the big cubs across Europe in the last decade!

I’d have probably waited for the Klopp lovefest/grief-a-thon to die down before dropping this one myself.

klopp was kept on because he wasn't failing.

thats the difference, we welcome mediocrity and failure and just 'hope' things will change.

His first season they finished 8th… why didn’t they sack him there and then?

Imagine Marlo if our manager was taking our players to take a bow infront of the stretford end after drawing at home with West Brom

His head would explode

good question.
first season he finished 8th while getting to 2 finals.
That’s not a disaster.

The next season they qualified for champions league football and signed some good players.

So that’s improvement from his first season!

If his 2nd season consisted of Liverpool finishing lower the his first season while recording their lowest points tally, least wins, most losses ever in the league , a negative goal difference, amongst other embarrassing lows then he would have been sacked

I would take that version of Pochettino from 2016-2019, however got my doubts that version still exists and doesn’t he also want more control of things too which INEOS want to move away from.

Agreed, that club needs some real stability at the moment. That's three managers in three years (minus Lampard's filler role)

but at least Joel Glazer has some competition for the dumbest owner in the Premier League now.

When he finished 8th, he took over during the season. His first full season was fourth and the second he got to a CL final.
