tbf, your reverse curse of 'we're £#%&!ed here' after 3 minutes of every game hasn't worked so well either.

tomorrow is such a strange one. we're one way from more or less sealing it, but a draw leaves it completely wide open.

and to ensure I stay on topic: Rodgers is a @#%&!.

He's not a smart guy.

Probably getting sick of the best players turning them down and trying to do a bit of face saving, but why lie over something that's so easily disproveable? Then you look not just incompetant, but dishonest as well. And to imagine that it's better to suggest to fans that they shouldn't be disheartened because you didn't even really try to get him shows a real lack of common sense and judgement.

Just be honest with people. Say you tried your best and that the player chose elsewhere, people will understand. In fact it would probably shift the blame to the club's status and the owners, and might even buy you some slack. It's not as though they blame him for Sanchez.

What an idiot.

RAWK are pretty clear that they agreed a fee with PSV, and then tried to low ball them afterwards. Also that they offered higher wages to the lad. Citing ESPN as a source.

No idea if its true but considering its them who are saying it, it pretty much has to be.

Yep, he's made himself look an even bigger dick than usual. And I think we can all agree - based on Fergie saying something similar about the midfield - that fans hate the 'we've already got enough players at that position' line. The idea is to get BETTER players.

Right, especially if it's obvious to people that the players you are citing as being "stocked up" on are visibly inferior. All they will see then is that you did try to get Lallana, but not Depay. Then they don't forgive.

some fans (on RAWK) actually believe him

So there is your answer folks, we were never in for him, which makes sense based on all the other snippets of actual information about how the transfer occurred.

Interestingly quite a few on here pointed out that the position the player plays in was not a priority, even if a player with goals in him is (thanks to PoP for continually beating the drum that goals can be scored by a shirt other than 9).

If Brendan wasn't truthful someone would drop him in it on social media within 5 minutes. We were not in for him. And now that its known a bunch of whiners have elevated the player to some kind of second coming that we have missed out on. In reality he is one of a number of promising players who will likely be available this summer, and he has a known behaviour problem.

Well actually, the PSV technical director did just that.

The transfer is done. Not sure what reason the guy would have to lie about the process now. Not as though there is a fee to inflate any longer.

To troll Liverpool for lulz. Although I doubt that's his motivation, it would be funny if it were.

Liverpool fans complaining about a player from a Dutch team with a known behavioral problem?
