I think I can see the club's plan here. After years of neglecting the midfield and letting it turn to shit, they've decided to start addressing it, and instead neglect the defence and let it turn to shit.

I fully expect to see a 2-3-5 formation, with the 2 consisting of Fletcher and Carrick.

Can't see us forking out that kind of dough for a then 30 year old who has tendinosis issues in his knee but then again I didn't think there was any chance of us even looking to sign Falcao this summer

Might not be a popular opinion on here but if we are looking for another top class forward then I'd rather go for one about to enter his peak years like Reus than one about to go past his peak
However the absolute top priority next summer is to sort out our defence so cool it Florentino Woodward
