Who gives a $#*! when you are being paid 40m euros per year and still playing in the Champions League.

Someone who already earns 35m Euros per year?

Neymar currently makes about £17m in off the pitch earnings alone.

you ok hun

classico is one of the biggest games in the sport, but both teams stroll 90% of the rest of the domestic calendar.

and let's face it, in the tie of the CL last season psg were easily the better team up against barcelona right up until being shamelessly robbed in camp nou, and neymar was barcelona's best player by a mile ...

More to the point if it was done that way a 300m transfer fee would appear on PSG's books as a free transfer. A piss take.

true. and barcelona would get a huge lump sum in addition to the qatari cash they already get bankrolled with.

Yeah. Ligue 1 is the answer

Just think you'd be a bit mad to think it's a football decision.

He can become the main man at PSG, which is something that could help him win the Ballon d'Or. But the word coming out of there suggests he probably wouldn't move now because of it. His dad's view/potential earnings appear to be a bigger factor.

The only thing that will win Neymar the Balon d'Or is winning the World Cup for Brazil. Or Messi and Ronaldo retiring. Either way being at PSG won't make the slightest difference, other than he may lose his way.

fair enough. the natural extension of that point is that he didn't go to barcelona for football reasons.

i expect he thinks he has more chance of winning the CL at psg, stitch-ups in camp nou notwithstanding ... meanwhile he can just carry on tootling around in a piss easy league. tbf the atmosphere at some of the away grounds in france is probably an upgrade on la liga as well.

if he leads them to the CL he will win the door, simple as that.

if he doesn't he won't.

If PSG win the Champions League it would help.

But their tendency to bottle it at crunch time makes that unlikely.

Nothing has been proven. He may really want to play for PSG. I just heavily doubt it.

i doubt he gives a £#%&! - barcelona. psg. whoever. follow the qatari money leads to city next, presumably ...

di maria had a clear penalty denied. barcelona were 3-1 down and as good as out with 5 minutes left. a couple of bits of magic from neymar - who had been let off repeatedly with foul play by the supine german referee - made the difference. but only thanks to an injury time penalty awarded when the already yellow-carded suarez launched himself to the floor in the box and allowed the referee to give the home side a penalty.

so yes, the final score was 6-1. but there was absolutely no integrity in the result and it was no doubt a hollow sense of justice for peg when barcelona were beaten in the next round barely laying a glove on atleti.

no-one who saw the peg v barcelona ties would deny that peg were by far the better team. if anything they were unlucky to only take a 4-0 lead into the 2nd leg. and they were very unfortunate to only hit 1 away goal, regardless of the clear penalty they were denied as well.

Same old stuff from PSG though. You take a 4-goal lead into the second and then get that away goal, don't concede six. Barca were lucky but PSG capitulated.

they capitulated to a degree, nqat. but they also tore barcelona apart a few times and should have scored more. then there were the penalty incidents. there was also the incredible series of fouls and petulance from neymar completely unpunished, and from suarez ...

by the end psg's heads were scrambled. most people were buzzing by the end, but I thought it was an absolute disgrace. incredible last 10 from neymar though ...

it was the archetypal nou camp experience for visiting teams - anfield in the 80s with bells on ...
