Manchester United's reputation for attracting more supporters from London than the North of England is unlikely to be helped by news that the club have now opened an office in the capital.
Commercial director Richard Arnold is looking to move staff to London to co-ordinate a new global sponsorship programme designed to boost revenues beyond the record £245 million turnover announced last week.
One member of staff has already moved south from Old Trafford, with the prospect of more to follow.
United justify the move by saying that the amount of travelling needed to secure and maintain the new sponsorship arrangements makes it easier to base the team in London.
i wonder where allt he staff in that office commute from.

essex.

essexians are now the driving force behind the biggest club in the world. a few uneducated ex shelf stacking mancunians were running our club into the ground so they have relocated to london and shock horror, united are in the best shape of their lives.

can you imagine the turnover if utd's economy was run from manchester? instead of organising meetings with potential sponsors theyd be stood around the office looking moody and playing guitar

boycotting brands and only having no sponsors.

united would run at a loss before going out of business. meanwhile all the mancunians just jump ship and support city.

excuses ready.

'well my old man used to watch united one week, city the next'

fickle bastards.
