Sample from an interview with The Scottish Player after the game.

What changed: "The manager. The way we approached the game and some light training sessions to keep the energy high

Not exactly.

The question was “what was key in terms of mentality”

Im just quoting what it said on the BBC. Given the stuff flying around about heavy training sessions to mention the manager was what was part of what changed seemed odd and obviously hinted at something.

He didn’t mentioned anything changed though? He just said the manager was key in their mentality approaching the game. It came across as backing ten hag if anything?

I seriously doubt a few light training sessions lead to the dramatic difference in energy levels and intensity

If the players are overworked in training it would show up later on in the game
You wouldn't start the match tired and against Newcastle the players didn't even try to compete from minute one
It was a mental and not a physical change from Saturday to Wednesday

Exactly, they shit the bed up there & last night they went out with a different mentality.

Martial & Rashford didn't give an iota of a £#%&! to even run, let alone play a bit - the lads last night were at it from minute 1.

rashford did £#%&! all when he came on, too.

The question put to him (according to the BBC) was “what changed?”

Marcus doesn’t have to press, he’s too important/well off for that type of menial work.

The fact that we played with 9 men cost us that game. Just a couple of triers in their place and we’d have got at least a draw

Get rid of both… ASAP

Ten Hag admits people told him not to take ‘impossible’ Manchester United job

Quote:
Erik ten Hag has revealed he was warned not to become the Manchester United manager because it was deemed an “impossible” job.

“Everyone was telling me, ‘you can’t succeed in that job,’” Ten Hag told the United We Stand fanzine. “They said it was impossible. Me? I wanted the challenge. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but it was such a great club with such a great fanbase.

“People love Manchester United or they are against Manchester United. I like clubs like this. Ajax was like this.”
The big man knew what he was getting himself into and charged head first into it.
