If I was a black England player I'd just wanna walk off before it's started.

unfortunately for a lot of people in this country who had no prior knowledge of black lives matter, or anything to do with colin kaepernick, their first encounters will be what they saw on their screens last Spring.... Which was mostly of a rampaging woke mob vandalising statues including Winston Churchill, who, despite what the facts about him are, is still regarded overwhelmingly as a wartime hero over here. A lot of people just saw it as attention seekers and professional protestors trying to import america's race problems wholesale into UK mainstream politics, which makes no sense given how drastically different the two societies are.
Whatever your thoughts on the black lives matter movement, these these things are now inextricably linked to it and a lot of people don't like it. It's sad really because sport could have made their own stand without having to link it so visibly with a movement from another country.
