We genuinely need 3 or 4 players added to the squad that are a goal threat.

Don't worry, MOTD just said we're after Gareth Bale

Quite like the look of Galbraith, potential there. Mengi looks a player too.

If it was anyone but us I'd say it was just selling papers. But you know.

Are Galbraith and Mengi ours or theirs...?

Only just. Literally the only thing Henderson did all day was pick the ball out of the net

Our finishing was, to be polite, rusty. We should have bagged about 5 with the chances we had.

Martial is still our best forward by some distance.

Nice.

Was it Mengi who came on v Kobenhavn? Looked quietly impressive.

honestly thought we kicked off at 10pm, thought I'd found a gem for the forum football heads.

United's insta were still doing a "countdown to kick off" at 21:00hrs

Losing my mind.

Pretty embarrassing stuff from MUTV. I get they've got to promote their stuff, but they really were acting like the game kicked off at 10pm

he was very tidy - had a couple of nice moves (spin) and passes. takes up good positions. will be great with bruno.

united actually looked pretty good overall (particularly given which players didn't). villa had a serious team out and went hard - fouled rashford constantly and... lee mason... seriously? definitely should have had at least one penalty.

maguire's defending was poor - no idea where he is half the time (like on the goal) - and his passing was shit, not to mention getting caught in possession. tfm was an animal, though. as was mengi.

james is a £#%&!ing lightweight and doesn't move - has no interplay with shaw, was shockingly offside like cheech once, horrible miss from the scramble after the corner, has to take on his man more, maybe should look up when he crosses. put a couple into dangerous areas, but no idea if anyone would be there (they weren't, obvs - new to our strikers?). had one good cut inside and curled for top corner, but you can't build a career on that move. especially when you miss the target.

shaw, by contrast, was excellent - picking players out with his crosses and good cover (especially after galbraith dawdled... which he did a lot... and he looked like a child when grealish breezed past him).

lingard really has to step up in that kind of team. I can't say we'd expect it, though. waster.

that strip is £#%&!ing disgusting.
