Not great today but dominating Lovren early as he did won Utd the game. Plenty to dislike about his play technically but credit to him, in the last few weeks he has found a way, in various means, to impact games at key times.

He was like 60 yards away from the rest of the team TBF, not sure many strikers could do much in that scenario.

Mentioned it in the game thread but all season he has barely won a header from goal kicks, but when he does it tends to be important, the Spurs game, today.

looked mustard in the first half. not having a midfield going forward he had to play exactly like that. the hard stuff.

Did very well today
Bullied Lovren for the two goals (and a really nice pass to Mata as well)
Also had some nice bits of play on the rare occasions he got decent possession

Big night coming up midweek for the lad I feel

Very good again.

These are the kind of performances that we need from him in games like this and when chances are sparse:

Aggressive, economical with the ball, winning his share of 50/50s.

We're okay, we've got Rashford who scores against the big teams and Lukaku who scores against the smaller teams. We've found our balance

He may not have scored but he gave Lovren and the Giraffe the run around yesterday. Another sterling performance from the big man !!

Did his job , with his back to goal. Not his fav way to play. But no midfield (defending deep) leads to playing like that.
