Shoplifters taking under £200 worth of goods 'not pursued'

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-42492488

But if you're a Baronet on your Boxing Day fox slaughter, you'll get 19 Police cars turning up to protect you & your hunt whilst you enjoy watching a defencless animal ripped to pieces by a pack of dogs.

That would actually be breaking the law, not that it seems to make much difference in practice.

GMP wont even turn up. The police wont take a report of credit fraud. Shoptheft and credit card fraud are effectively decriminalised. Attempt Burglary is criminal damage, kicking fuck out of someone is common assault. Everything is undercharged.

For those that are charged thenpolice and CPS disregard their legal obligatons and fail to disclose evidence. If you do manage to get a lawyer that will do any proper work on your case you will be paying privately as the legal aid rates dont allow for any case preparation, and even if you win you wont het your money back.

Cases in point.

These arent isolated cases. The criminal justice system is fucked.

It appears that disclosure training in the Met, for example, involves being trained to include as few items as possible on the unused material schedule, which for the uninitiated means the list of items which the police have gathered or generated during the course of an investigation but don’t intend to rely on as part of the Crown’s case. Police officers are being trained that most material is ‘irrelevant’ and need not be placed on the schedule. WRONG!

If you were looking to bring a case against politicians for deliberately dismantling State apparatus, the undermining of the CJS would be your most valuable piece of evidence. Not least because you're fucking over lawyers, and they tend to spot things.

The electorate will only be made aware of how fucked things are when it's too late to do anything about it. They will enjoy the tv dramas though, especially our version of The Good Wife; 'your honour, the prosecution has sat on this evidence for months while my client has been held on remand!'. Tut tut, ooh I like her blouse...
