Mebbes we shouldn’t write him off yet.

My mum had her first cancer diagnosis 11-12 years ago.
We’ve patients here that have been coming to the Day Therapy unit for over a decade too.

Genuinely can't imagine the gut wrenching fear when you first hear the doctor mention THAT word.

Just hope they've got it in time

It’s scary as f*** just thinking you might have it. I had a chest X-ray (suspected chest infection) at the hospital & was told it would take about a week for my GP to get the results.
3 hrs later I get a call from the GP to say they need to see me immediately to discuss the x-ray. Won’t tell me over the phone. I was 5 mins away & it was the longest 5 mins of my life. My heart was hammering & I was shaking like a shitting dog - when the GP told me I ‘just’ had TB, I nearly f***ing celebrated like I’d scored the winning goal in the Cup Final.

They need to sort that sort of shit out tbh.
