Default Bid already turned down?

The Glazer family have already rejected a £1 billion-plus offer for Manchester United, it has been revealed.

The Glazers have no wish to sell Manchester United and turned down a £1billion-plus offer from one of the world’s richest men.

It would require an offer of £1.5b just to tempt them, and that would be way too much for the ‘Red Knights’ movement of City of London financiers that has expressed interest in a takeover.

The mega-bid was presented directly to the Glazers by a world football figure, who revealed why the Florida-based family are refusing to sell.

The source told Soccernet: “The Glazers don’t need offers from fans who may or may not be able to raise the money. They have had two recent cash offers, although I am not prepared to say how much for or who from. The Glazers made it perfectly clear that the club is not for sale.”

Soccernet understands that one of the offers came from China and the other from the Middle East, and both were shocked to be turned down.

The source added: “The Glazers are refusing to sell simply because they think it is a good business and they like the club. They are very confident that it can be even more successful.”

Why would they want to sell? They haven't finished milking the cow for all she's worth yet.
