Surely it will encourage more of these under 18 foreign youngsters to be brought over if they have to be here for 3 years before counting as home grown when they are over 21.

Presumably to protect the Scottish teams, although I don't see quite how it will.

the scots have their own league so are treated accordingly. not sure about the nirish.
