Good player, young, strong, quick a year in the prem under his belt, plays in an area in which we are missing something, are a bit short on options and have players aging quickly. Not a £#%&!ing chance we'll sign him.

He really impressed me mid week, thought he had a great game. Didn't give Scholes any time on the ball at all.

I think we were interested in signing him, but not until the summer

Spurs paying 14m is a £#%&!ing joke

how much could they have got him for if they'd beat Wigan to his sig?

It has been the case in the past that other teams moving for our targets have meant us moving for them sooner, I would be delighted if we signed someone to freshen up the squad a little in a position such as midfield, the players in there could use a jolt, IMO.

It's very shortsighted by Wigan too. £14 is a huge bid (and not one I see us matching this transfer window), but they've a very capable team at the moment. I'm sure his valuation would only go up by the summer, if they were to finish top 10 or better. I really don't see the point of letting such a valuable player go at this point in the season, especially when they're doing so well. Bruce must be gutted.

Is Wenger a bit of a #@&%!? If he could see the Lad had talent, why didn't he sign him? Exactly the sort of player that shower need

If the story is indeed true, and the fee amounts to what is being touted as £14m+, it's hard to see where any potential money for buying Tevez will come from.

Probably was too old for Wenger to claim he'd discovered him.

the sort of bid a team like wigan can't resist. fantastic player for them but that type of cash would let bruce buy 4, maybe even 6 players for his squad. great bit of business.
