that icelandic ash may have saved our season. oddly, none of the papers have picked it up.

incidentally, much as I hate phil dowd, at least he has the balls to send england's finest off (more than once).

Why? If the Liverpool - Athletico game is postponed this week it gives them greater incentive to ease off for the Chelsea game that will then fall in-between both legs of the semi-final.

That is right, better that the tie is finished 3 days before the Chelsea game.

Looks like Torres might be crocked for the rest of the season aswell which means David bloody Ngog up against JT Lionheart and Alex.

god initially started supporting liverpool (glory hunter!). But then hillsborough and heysel happened. god thought £#%&! this murdering @#%&!s and started support us

i bet god is the sort of weirdo you end up meeting when you go out for a meal with your missus and her mate from work's partner. the type that doesn't like football and thinks shouting "mint sauce" at a field full of lambs is hilarious.

Didn't see it mentioned much in the match thread so thought I'd just imagined it. Commentators didn't mention it either, despite crying about Rooney not getting booked for the foul on Kompany
