Default Team v Roma

I'd like to see this team start

Kuszczak

Brown
Rio
Vidic
Evra

Ronaldo
Carrick
Scholes
Nani

Tevez
Saha

Most likely Roma line up:

Doni

Cicinho
Mexes
Juan
Tonetto

Giuly
De Rossi
Aquilani/Brighi
Perrotta/Pizarro
Mancini

Totti

As you see there are big doubts over 2 of their important players Aquilani who has been on fire this season and the Manchester born Perrotta. Brighi and Pizarro are the 2 most likely to come in for them.

Prediction:

3-1 to United.

I'd start him v Wigan on Saturday, people forget Chelsea was his first game in almost 2 months and against Birmingham he was extremely anonymous while Saha has been fine tuned carefully since he came back for the Sunderland game.

IMO Louis should start, Juan is extremely slow so i'd love to see him up against the pace of our number 9.

Whilst I wouldn't disagree that Rooney was quiet yesterday there's no way he should be left out the side.
Tevez hasn't set Old Trafford alight by any means (early days yet though)

Rooney makes things happen in big games...sets the mood & the tempo.
He's infectious.
He was very good in the first half against Chelsea last week.
I think he'll start AND score on Tuesday night.

If anyone comes out the side to make way for the ever unreliable/unavailable Saha then it's Tevez.

It would be madness to leave Rooney out.

Is Hargreaves fit?

If so, I'll go with:

kuszczak

brown
rio
vidic
evra

hargreaves
carrick
scholes

ronnie
tevez
rooney

I'd agree with that. Giggs on the bench.

I'd be happy with the same again.

Can see any changes being Hargreaves for Scholes and/or Saha for Tevez.

I'd be happy and confident enough with any of those four scenarios.

very funny. could well be the team - 4-5-1 worked quite well last time we played them as well.

I'm really interested to see what Fergie will do if Hargreaves is fit. I can't see him starting with Hargreaves, Scholes, Carrick and Giggs. One would have to miss out and it'd give a good insight into his thinking for big games this season.

................kuszczak.............
brown..ferdinand...vidic....evra
........hargreaves....carrick.....
.................scholes.............
....rooney................ronaldo..
..................saha................

And a top-class bench consisting of Giggs, Nani, Anderson, Tevez and a couple of defenders.

I think we all agree, with G Nev and VDS, that should be the side that plays when available.

If you think Rooney looked anonymous, what the £#%&! would you call Saha when he came on yesterday? It was easily the worst of his 'admittedly brief' appearances this season. No way should he be starting ahead of Rooney.
